Relevo offers a Digital Deposit System alongside its app-based, deposit-free solution, providing businesses with enhanced flexibility to meet specific needs. This system enables businesses to reduce single-use plastic waste while offering full tracking, inventory management and analytics, making it an ideal option for scenarios where deposits are more effective.
Assigning Items
The Digital Deposit system can operate alongside the regular app-based system within the same location.
To get started:
Set your desired deposit amount in the Relevo Partner Platform. Relevo recommends matching this amount to the lost item price in your contract, but you are free to choose any value.
When a guest requests reusable Relevo items, scan the items in the "Deposit" section of the Partner Platform.
The system calculates the deposit amount to collect from the guest and marks the items as handed out under the deposit system.
Guests do not need to sign up or download an app to use this system.
If a Relevo User scans a deposit-marked item with their app, they will be notified that it cannot be borrowed through the regular app system. This ensures clear separation between deposit and app-based borrowing.
Returning Items
When a guest returns their Relevos:
Scan the items in the "Deposit" section of the Partner Platform.
The system calculates how much deposit to refund and books the items back into your inventory.
Returned items can either be cleaned and reused in the app-based system or handed out again under the deposit system.
Requirements
Since you have to scan and mark items to be handed out for deposit, you should have a proper scanning device at your point of sale or counter. To implement the Digital Deposit System, businesses need:
A device with QR code reading capabilities (smartphones, tablets, or dedicated scanners).
Access to the Relevo Partner Platform, which requires an internet connection.
Employee access can be restricted to prevent unauthorized changes in business-critical areas.
